Marta Gabrielli is an Academy of Applied Personal Training Education (AAPTE) Certified Personal Trainer and Exercise Fitness Specialist as well as an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Orthopedic Exercise Specialist based in Manhasset, NY and the surrounding area. Marta has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology (Binghamton University) and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Health Psychology (Northeastern University). Before starting a career in fitness, she worked as an Applied Behavioral Therapist.
Marta’s passion for health and fitness began at an early age. In her teens she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes a lifelong autoimmune disorder. As a result, she has a deep understanding of the metabolic and endocrine conditions of the human body and has learned that fitness and exercise have a tremendous impact on staying strong and healthy. Her passion for exercise continued to evolve after becoming a mother of two children. During this period, besides giving everything to her children, she became devoted to her body and pushed herself into the greatest shape of her life. As a result, she has trained for and participated in cross-fit events, half marathons, Olympic triathlon’s, and Century bike rides which support finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Marta specializes in developing exercise programs for individuals living with Diabetes. Through her exercise program D-FIT Diabetes individuals living with the condition will reach their fitness goals in the healthiest way possible.
As a Personal Trainer, Marta has a deep understanding of human anatomy, biomechanics, exercise physiology, fitness assessment, training adaptations and exercise prescriptions that exceed the current standards in the fitness industry. Marta’s passion, knowledge, and experience in fitness and health will make sure that you attain your goals in the safest and fastest way possible.
